Regardless of the industry, most entrepreneurs are concerned about one major and common aspect – profits. Then, you have a bunch of slightly-different people, who want profits, but at the same time, they want to innovate and do better for the community and people. Denis Vincent is one of them. If you are in Canada, you must have heard of him in many business magazines and chronicles. In this post, we will talk about him and what makes him different.
A simple start
Early in life, Denis knew that he had to start his own venture, but with modest means, he wanted to learn the basics of running a business. He started his career somewhere in 1983, when he worked as an administrator for P.R.C.S. construction insulation. He worked there for a year, after which he switched to Moto Bateau and worked for around five years. During this period, he had the profile of a sales executive and specialized in auto sales and aftermarket services. After he left the company, he worked in the same sector of auto sales for around ten years.
Jump to aviation
In 1996, Denis realized his passion for aviation, and soon after, he got trained as an airplane and helicopter pilot. Around the same time, he launched his first aviation venture - Heli Vincent Inc., which deals in sales and dry leasing of aircrafts and helicopters and has operations in Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. The company has recently sealed a deal with a leading firm. Denis is also the chief financial officer for Strong Arm Contracting and has been working for the company since 2011.
Denis believes in the power of helping people, and in recent years, he has donated to many causes and charities, either through his firm or directly. He also likes to invest in new businesses and startups and has helped many entrepreneurs with their innovative ideas. Ask him about the kind of work he wants to do in the future, and pat comes the reply, “something that adds value and ensures profits for everyone involved, and the community too”. Denis admits that his only indulgence is flying, and when he is not busy with work and other kinds of business activities, he is flying coast to coast in Canada. He believes that his passion for flying has only pushed him to do better things, not just in aviation, but beyond.
Denis is also involved in the real estate and has been a major name behind some of the major acquisitions and mergers in parts of Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. He continues to enjoy his work in the real estate but often has mentioned his desire to do more. Denis, being the philanthropist that he is, has donated to many other causes, and by his own admission, he plans to do more in days to come. As always, he is still committed to his work, and his personal life revolves around these simple goals he has set for himself.
